There will be 38 public holidays and optional holidays in the year 2023. And 16 public holidays & 22 optional holidays in 38 holidays. Federal Cabinet Division Declaration

The Federal Government cabinet division has released the details of public holidays & optional holidays for the coming year. According to the announcement made by the cabinet division. The Islamic holidays for the year 2023 have-been fixed according to the expected date.

A separate notification of holidays will-be issued according to the sighting of the moon. In the year 2023. 2 of the 16 public holidays will fall on Sundays.

There will-be bank holidays on 2 January 22 March & 3 July . Muslim government employees will not get more than one optional holiday in a year. Non Muslim government employees will not get more than 3 optional holidays in a year.

Optional holidays in year 2023.

In the announcement issued by the Cabinet Division. It has been stated that there will-be 38 public holidays & optional holidays in the year 2023.

Out of the 38 holidays. There will-be 16 general holidays and 22 optional holidays. 5th February 2023 will be observed as Commissioner Day. 23rd March 2023 as Pakistan Day 1st May 2023 as Labor Day.

In addition:  There will be three holidays of Eid al-Fitar from 22 to 24 April 2023. 3 holidays of Eid al-Adha on 29 and 30 and 1 July 2023. Independence Day on 14 August 2023. Eid Milad-ul-Nabi ï·º will be a public holiday on 28 September 2023.

Whereas 9 November 2023 will be Iqbal Day, 25 December  2023 Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas public holiday. 25 December 2023 will be the post Christmas public holiday for Christian employees.
