Sindh  Government 100% increase in fare Price of People Bus Service travel. Sources said that it has been decided to increase the fares of all routes of the People's Bus Service from next month.

The Government of Sindh has allowed the National Radio & Telecommunication Corporation NRTC. the watchdog of the People Bus Service PBS. To increase the fare of one bus route in the city by 100%.

According to the report of Transport Minister Social Platform the sources said  that the decision in this regard was taken in the meeting of the revision committee on fares on intercity routes in which representatives of NTRC. Sindh Mass Transit Authority & 3rd party engineers participated.

People Bus Service Gulshan Hadid Route 11 increase ticket prices :

He said that the maximum fare for the route of newly extended People Bus Service from Gulshan Hadid to Tower has been increased from Rs.50 to Rs.100 as the distance is now 58 km.

This route starts from Allahwali Chowrangi in Gulshan Hadid & ends at Steel Town, Port Qasim Chowrangi, Manzil Petrol Pump, Quaidabad, Malir Malir Halt, Colony Gate, Natha Khan Bridge, Drig Road Station, PAF Base Faisal , Lal Kothi. Passes through Karsaz, Nursery, FTC, Metropole, Karachi Press Club, Arts Council Karachi, Pakistan, II Chandrigar Road & ends at City Station.

Sources  also say that this route was earlier from Gulshan Hadid to Malir Cantt. The operator started charging Rs.100 bus fare on this route No.3 days ago after the route was extended.

Sources  also said the operator hiked the fare of the People Bus Service Karachi as it is not commercially viable to run buses on the extended route of 58 km due to increased fares.

An official Transport of Sindh Mass Transit Authority. on condition of anonymity. Also said that complaints of Rs.100 Ticket fare being charged even on short routes have come to light & the authority has immediately contacted the operator in this regard. They are no longer charging a minimum fare of Rs.50 for short distance routes.

Meanwhile: sources  also said that NRTC has decided to increase the fares of all routes of the People Bus Service from next month in view of high fuel prices.

Sindh Government decision to run People Bus Service on Airport route :

Government of Sindh has decided to run People Bus Service on the route of Jinnah International Airport as well.

In a conversation with private TV. Secretary Transport Mr. Abdul Halim Sheikh also said that discussions between the government & civil aviation are ongoing in this regard. A bus terminal will be built inside the airport for bus service.

The Transport Secretary more said that running the this bus service on the airport route will provide convenience to the public. Civil Aviation is ready to provide space for building 2 bus stops for the People Bus Service.

Notification of 9 routes of People's Bus Service Karachi.

Mass Transit Authority Sindh has issued formal notification of 9 routes of People Bus Service operated in Karachi.

In the notification issued by the Commissioner Karachi. The routes of 9 routes of the People Bus Service have-been finalized.

• Route No. 1

According to the notification: The 1st route of the People Bus Service will be from Khokhra Par to the tower from a number, Saudabad, Malir Halt, Drug Road , Lal Kothi, Karsaz, Metropole, Press Club & Arts Council will come on its way.

• Route No. 2

Route No.2 of the People Bus Service will start from North Karachi & pass through Nagan Chowrangi, Sohrab Goth. Nipa Chowrangi, Drig Road, Shah Faisal Colony & Landhi Road & end at Korangi Crossing.

• Route No. 3

According to the notification. Route No. 3 from Nagan Chowrangi to North Nazimabad, KDA Chowrangi, Liaquatabad, Civic Centre KARACH, Karsaz, Nursery & Korangi Road will be terminated at Singar Chowrangi.

• Route No. 4

PBS Route No. 4 will run from North Karachi to Dockyard along this route New Karachi, Motorway M9, Al Asif Square, Federal B Area, Liaquatabad, Guromandir , Society Chowrangi, Sindh High Court, II Chandrigar Road & Tower. will come

• Route No. 5

Route No. 5 of People Bus Service from Sarjani Town will pass through Shafeeq Morr, Ziauddin Chowrangi, KDA Chowrangi, Musa Colony, Mangho Pir, Site Area & Gul Bai & end at PAF Base Masroor.

• Route No. 6

Route No. 6 Orangi Town Gulshan Bihar to Banaras, Site Areas, Old Golimar (Purana Golimar), Garden Town, PIB Colony, DHA Phase 1 to Shan Chowrangi will end at Korangi.

• Route No. 7

PBS Route No. 7 will-be from Mosamiyat to Gulzar Hijri, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Federal B Area, North Nazimabad, Orangi Town to Gaddafi Town and Baldia Town.

• Route No. 8

According to the notification. Route No. 8 will-be from Gulshan Hadid to Steel Town, Manzil Petrol Pump. Quaidabad, Malir Halt to Check Post No. 5 & Malir Halt.

• Route No. 9

Route No. 9 will have sea view from Capri Cinema Karachi, Bohri Bazar, Zainab Market, Metropole, Tin Talwar, Do 2 Talwar, South City, Bilawal Chowrangi & Dolman Mall.

The fare Ticket Prices of People Bus Service in Karachi is allocated from Rs.20 to Rs.50.

People Bus Service in Hyderabad Route :

After Karachi the Sindh government also inaugurated the Bus Service in Hyderabad

KARACHI: After starting the People Bus Service in City Quaid the Sindh Government on Saturday inaugurated the People Bus Service in Hyderabad. Initially this service will-be operated in Hyderabad with only 10 buses.

• Hattri Bypass
• heading towards
• Hala Naka
• Jail Chowrangi
• Qasim Chowk
• Qasimabad
• Wahdat Colony
• Hussainabad Roundabout
• Thandi Sarakk
• Haider Chowk
• Trees on the bus route were cut down.

The route of the People Bus Service will start from Hattri Bypass, pass through Hala Naka, Jail Chowrangi, Qasim Chowk, Wahdat Colony, Hussainabad Roundabout, Thandi Sadakk & end at Hyder Chowk.

For the return journey. The bus route will start from Hyder Chowk as it heads back towards Hattri Bypass. The bus service routes will-be further extended to include additional destinations over time.

People Bus Service Larkana :

Bus Service is a project of   Sindh Mass Transit Authority SMTA. This bus will run a distance of 8.3km from New Bus Terminal to 

• Quaid Awam UET on
•  Airport Road. It includes areas like 
• Sheikh Zayed Hospital
• Sindh University Campus
• IBA School Sachal Colony
•  Chandka Medical College
•  High Court, SSP Office
•  Shahnawaz Library, etc.

Buses manufactured :

These buses are manufactured by Haiger Bus Company. Located in Suzhou Jiangsu Province China. These buses are fully AC air conditioned & have state of the art facilities. Including free Wi-Fi CCTV cameras.  Fire fighting system ' emergency exit bus stop buttons & automatic doors.

Each bus will accommodate 31 passengers including 2 seats for disabled persons. Even in buses with a maximum capacity of 80 passengers  seats are reserved for disabled persons & women.
